A Northern California Fly Fishing Guide
As a Northern California native I feel extremely fortunate to have been born and raised in the fly fishing Mecca that surrounds Redding. I started fly fishing at a young age while competing in bass tournaments with a spinning rod and reel. I realized soon that I would rather fly fish for trout and steelhead than fight for rank in a bass tournament. I became a full time, year round guide and established The Ripple Effect in 2009. Since then I have instructed in many fly fishing classes and schools ranging from beginner to master angler while guiding on the river around 200 days a year.
As a professional guide and instructor I am extremely organized, patient, honest, and not afraid to speak up, with a calm demeanor, when instruction is wanted or needed. I welcome the challenge of out fishing myself every day and truly enjoy teaching others the art of fly fishing. I enjoy all types of fly fishing, ranging from rivers, small streams and stillwaters, to casting flies to bass during the summer. I do have to say that a big steelhead is undoubtedly my favorite fish to target on a fly! Growing up fishing on all the fundamentally different waters that Northern California has to offer has really shaped me into a well rounded fly angler and guide.
